Principle Partners of the business are:
Tim Duffey, M.Ed., President: A former school counselor, director of guidance and Education Specialist for the Maine Department of Education, Tim was naturally drawn to resilience research, Developmental Assets®, Asset-Based Community Development and other strength-oriented frameworks. He and his wife/business partner (Donna) organized and conducted regional Resiliency In Action conferences prior to launching Vision Training Associates in 2000.
Donna Duffey, Vice-President: With degrees in Child Development and Accounting, she brings a unique combination of skills to the current business venture. She has managed regional conferences, international sales of a quarterly publication (Resiliency In Action), an educational toy business, and taught Special Education. Her daily contact with our customers assures we achieve our stated goals.
History:
Since September 2000, Vision Training Associates, Inc. has managed a highly-skilled team of independent contractors serving all of North America. We average some 250 speaking and training events per year and consistently achieve customer satisfaction ratings above 4.5 on a 5.0 scale. As part of our business, we manage the North American Training Team of Search Institute (link to www.search-institute.org), a national leader of applied research in positive youth development. In addition to managing the training and speaking functions for the institute, we proudly represent the speakers you’ll find featured on this website.
